This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to an exciting Global project in the vibrant, international environment of a profitable and rapidly growing Sector of the leading global leisure travel company. This is an HR specialist role acting on a global scale, focussing on the management of all people aspects related to the creation of a new Global Shared Service organisation, with the prospect to lead the HR function of this unit once this new organisation is in place.

To support the business in achieving the challenging and exciting milestones of a global transformation project, there is a requirement to appoint an HR Transition Manager (project Accelerate) within the Sector HR team in the Palma Head Office. The role provides an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to work in a challenging role within a truly international environment, and at an attractive location. In this fast-growing, international business, it provides exposure to a key strategic initiative and stakeholders, and therefore offers real opportunities for professional development.
This position operates as a key member of the global project team and supports the Global Project Director and his team in reaching the project objectives and delivering all people milestones to deadlines. This role is responsible for all aspects of HR transition and people change management.
The role will report to the Deputy HR Director, Global Talent Management, and as the technical expert and Project Manager will work closely with the Global Project Director on the implementation of all respective strategic and operational people matters for the project. It also involves interaction with diverse stakeholders such as external advisors (lawyers, consultants, etc.), business managers, and other internal functions at Sector and Group level.

As HR Transition Manager you will be representing the project in a management role with considerable influence.
This is an HR management role with considerable impact and visibility and requires the following:
Interact closely as HR Business Partner with the Global Project Director working with him and his first line direct reports to effect transformation in the current organisation
Develop a deep understanding for operational excellence and efficiency in the context of this project, in order to manage change and implement an HR Agenda suited to drive organisational effectiveness, high performance, leadership capability, and employee engagement
Build a deep knowledge of the local businesses and share this with the Global Project Director extracting essential information to help with the shaping of the new organisation globally
Advise, facilitate, coordinate and ensure compliance in key HR service requirements:
- Organisation Effectiveness
- Resourcing & Talent Management
- Reward and recognition
- Policy & Employee Relations
- Employee Engagement
Monitor the effectiveness of local HR delivery, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing operational solutions in line with project deadlines and current best practice
Be a team player and collaborate closely with colleagues in the Sector HR team
Manage and follow-up on integration activities

The main responsibilities can be defined as follows:
HR Transition:
Actively manage the HR process in the transformation to a new organisation:
Due diligence supervision and analysis
Identification and management of labour law issues in collaboration with legal advisors
Skills assessments
Drafting of Job descriptions
Drafting of contracts,
Harmonisation of reward schemes and HR policies to ensure retention
Manage outplacement as required
Manage all recruitments as required
International Labour Law:
Support the project team in the preparation of contracts under multiple jurisdictions, provide legal advice on diverse topics, such as termination of contracts, liaise with local advisors, and implement decisions.
When required, work on milestones involving employee representative bodies such as European works councils, presenting all aspects of the transition project.
Change Management
Involvement in the definition of the new organisation structure
Drafting and implementation of communication plans
Manage and follow-up at local level on all Employee related communications
Manage and deliver training as necessary

Requisitos mínimos

HR professional with 7 years + relevant experience in a relevant HR specialist role or HR generalist role with strong focus on change implementation in a fast-paced multinational company
Experience in international HR should cover exposure to HR practices and the legal and market environment in several countries (ideally beyond Europe), including experience of TUPE
The candidate should have had experience in managing HR aspects of M&A activity or transition in a global context with a certain degree of autonomy.
The successful candidate holds a university degree, ideally in Law/Labour Relations and/or Business Administration.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral), preferably at native speaker level. Knowledge of Spanish is a definite plus, any other relevant languages an additional asset, as is experience through having studied/worked abroad.
To be successful in this position, a candidate must be able to demonstrate outstanding analytical, planning, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to deliver operationally on the details within the context of a global vision.
The candidate should be able to quickly grasp complex legal issues, understand the detail and present solutions to internal customers.
The professional should be quick-thinking, results-orientated, and pro-active, with drive and energy to act in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates should be effective communicators at all levels of an international organisation and with external stakeholders, acting with (intercultural) empathy, honesty and transparency.
A very good knowledge of the general business IT applications (MS Office), and an affinity towards application of technology in an HR environment, would also be required.
