Mientras las redes sociales continúan en crecimiento, el currículum social aumenta paralelamente aportando características relevantes de los talentos y candidatos que impresionan y captan la atención de cazatalentos, profesionales de RRHH y empresas.
Internet y la web 2.0 abarcan los medios más usado en la búsqueda de empleo y selección de personal. Si bien es cierto que todo empezó con los portales de empleo, hoy se pueden vislumbrar una serie de estrategias para darte a conocer en el mercado laboral, a través del denominado currículum social.
¿Qué es el Currículum Social?
Para definir el término "Currículum Social", es importante conceptualizar qué es un currículum. Sencillamente un currículum es el historial profesional de un candidato. En líneas generales es redactado pensando en exponer las características necesarias para optar a un puesto de trabajo específico. Tienden a ser breves, precisos y estructurados (datos personales, formación, experiencia y otros datos) para poder transmitir la máxima información en pocas líneas.
Entendiendo la partida de esta definición, un currículum social involucra mucho más. Este introduce información sobre la actividad en internet y la web 2.0. Por ejemplo, las redes sociales en las que tiene perfiles, webs en las que participa, conexiones, grupos, proyectos, colaboraciones, actividad, intereses, en fin... la información social del candidato que completa toda exposición en pocas líneas de un currículum tradicional. El currículum social comienza adquirir mucho más valor en cazatalentos, profesionales de RRHH y empresas que contrastan informaciones para dar con el candidato ideal.

Es muy cierto que el mercado laboral día a día se torna más competitivo y son mucho más los candidatos que se postulan a una misma propuesta laboral. Por esta situación, es necesario que los talentos se diferencien y resalten ante los demás, con presentaciones sociales creativas, originales y atractivas. He aquí justamente el protagonismo de un currículum social que pueda marcar la diferencia.
Por otra parte y para cerrar, se debe recordar que comienza una era de precaución, se tiene que ser cauto a la hora de reflejar actividades en internet que puedan transformarse en elementos negativos a la reputación. Un currículum social tiene que exteriorizar la mayor información como profesional que sea interesante para empresas, profesionales de RRHH y cazatalentos.
